Communities known as "sea gypsies" live almost entirely on water, spending their lives on boats and rafts in coastal Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Though unrelated to Roma gypsies, their seafaring lifestyle, independence, and adaptability echo the spirit of nomadic peoples.
